# New 1,700 Years Old Mosaics at the Nativity Church

[Levi Zelkind](https://www.best-israel-tours.com/about-zelkind-bible-land-tours) · 19 March 2020

Ancient mosaics, dating the 4 CAD, have been uncovered in the Nativity Church at Bethlehem. Millions of tourists have passed above them, so far, without being aware of this hidden beauty. Not more - now they are open for the public!

Greek Word IHTIS means "fish", which, in turn, symbolized Jesus in Early Christianity

The beuaty of the mosaics is acceptional. We see here the pomgranades which still today are the symbols of the Holy Land
