Service Description

Enjoy a breathtaking beauty of the Western Samaria Hills during this one day private tour from Tel Aviv. You will travel along one of the most scenic roads in Palestine to visit Tel Shiloh. Shiloh was the religious capital of Israel during the times of the Judges, and spans 4,000 years of continuous settlement starting from the 18th century BC . Shiloh was an assembly place for the people of Israel and a center of worship. Its sacred area (Tabernacle – Mishkan) in Shiloh housed the Ark of Covenant, Table of Showbread, Altar of Incense and Golden Lamp stand. From Tel Shiloh we shall drive West to visit the famous Israel Look-out Observation site. From this high-elevation point most of Israeli Mediterranean Coast can be seen at a clear day. A short walk will bring you to Dir Qala ("Fortified Monastery") site dating Byzantine times. This most beautiful and highly impressive citadel is still surrounded by the 7 meters high walls. Our final and closest to Tel Aviv place of visit is a world renowned Migdal Zedek. Standing high above the ancient Via Maritime (Sea-Side Road) which connected Egypt with the Fertile Crescent, this citadel was initially built over 4,000 years ago, and further rebuilt by the Romans, the Jews, the Byzantines, the Crusades and, finally, the Ottomans.
