GALILEE CHRISTIAN HERITAGE FROM TEL AVIV

Service Description

Start the day at your hotel and drive across the Armageddon Valley to the Galilee Mountains. Visit major Holy Places for the Christians in the Galilee Mountains, where Christ spent most of His Life on Earth. On our way, we’ll start from driving through the Galilee to visit Nazareth. This relatively small city is the cradle of Christianity, where the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ had lived. At Nazareth we shall visit the Annunciation Church and Joseph Carpentry Shop. After leaving Nazareth, we shall drive by Kfar Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle by changing water into wine at a marriage feast in Cana. From Kfar Cana we’ll continue towards the Sea of Galilee. We'll visit the Church at Tabgha, site of the Miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. ​We’ll proceed from Tabgha to Capernaum, a remnant of the once thriving Jewish community from the 2nd century and where Jesus began His ministry, to view its ancient Synagogue and the home of St. Peter. ​We might also stop at the newly excavated town of Magdala - a home town of Maria Magdalena. Here we shall enjoy the fascinating excavations of the ancient town as well as new Christian Center. And finally, we’ll drive through the city of Tiberias to Yardenit, to experience the spirituality and pastoral beauty of the waters of the River Jordan, in which Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Finally, take a drive back to your hotel.
