Walk through the church, where religious ceremonies have been performed for seventeen hundred years. Head to the Grotto of the Nativity. See the Altar with the inscribed star commemorating the nativity and the manger where Jesus was born. ​Stop at St. Catherine of Alexandria, formerly a Franciscan Convent. View the stained glass window, representative of the nativity, and The Bas-relief of the Tree of Jesse, given to the church by Pope Benedict XVI. Continue to Jerusalem to visit the Christian Quarter. Enjoy walking its crowded market streets to visit the Holy Sepulchre Church. Climb Golgotha, see Jesus' Prison and view Jesus' Tomb, Edicule. ​And finally, after a breathtaking drive through the forests of Judea, you will arrive at Ein Kerem – the birthplace of John the Baptist, to walk its winding alleys and to visit the great churches at the places where John was born and of the Visitation, where Holy Mary met John’s mother Elizabeth.
