Start at your Tel Aviv hotel and drive to the South of Israel, to Negev. Visit of Ben Gurion House and Tomb at Sde Boker, ancient Nabatean town of Ein Avdat and Mitzpe Ramon Canyon – Makhtesh Ramon. We shall start at your Tel Aviv hotel at 8:00 and shall travel to the South of Israel – to Negev Mountains. This fascinatingly beautiful area has several outstanding natural and historical sites of World importance. Today we shall see few of those. Our first stop will be at the Kibbutz Sde Boker. At this Kibbutz Israeli first Prime-Minister David Ben Gurion and his wife Pola spent their last years and found their Eternal rest. We shall visit the kibbutz, Ben Gurion' private barrack and family tomb, with the fascinating view opening from it. Our next stop will be at Ein Avdat – an ancient Nabatean city on the historical Roman times Spices Way. Initially the Idolatry Nomads, the Nabateans turned Christians and for few hundred years ruled over the famous Spices Way, from the Saudi Arabia to Rome. Ein Avdat, a World Heritage Site, is one of the best preserved and most interesting Nabatean Cities. Our final and stop will be at the town of Mitzpe Ramon. This small town sits at the top of the World famous Ramon Canyon – a unique geological formation, "Makhtesh", which became an international word. The Ramon Makhtesh is the world’s largest erosion Canyon, created 220 million years ago when ancient oceans covered this area. The display at the Visitors Center provides an unforgettable breathtaking view of the Makhtesh' moon-like landscape. From Mitzpe Ramon we shall turn back and shall drive you to your Tel Aviv hotel.
